From the very beginning, we built Loved Up Pup around our promise: communication, love, and all-inclusive care. We don’t believe in add-ons, upsells or surprises. Trusting us with your dog’s care means you get the best we offer, every time.

Since opening our doors in 2022, we’ve worked hard to maintain consistent pricing while providing patient, thoughtful, one-on-one grooming in a calm environment where dogs feel safe and respected. To continue meeting that standard, we’ll be making our first ever pricing adjustment, effective March 1st.

Why We’re Adjusting Rates

Over the past year, the cost of operating our salon has increased in several key areas:

1. Facility: Our rent has increased by 17%.

2. Insurances: Our insurances have risen ~15%.

3. Professional Tools: Sharpening and maintenance costs have nearly doubled.

4. Premium Shampoos and Conditioners: The skin-safe shampoos and conditioners we use rose 15%.
   

   To keep up with these changes, all services will see a small increase of approximately 5%, in line with rising operating costs and inflation.

   These adjustments allow us to continue providing the level of care, safety, and attention you expect from Loved Up Pup.

   The biggest update to our structure involves a new Curly Coat Care Fee for our Poodle and Doodle friends.
   
   We genuinely adore our curly-coated clients. From a professional grooming standpoint, their unique coats and styling require more time and physical labor.
   
   On average, a bath and haircut for a Poodle or Doodle takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours longer compared to other dogs of similar weight. A large portion of that time happens during the drying and finishing stages, which are especially critical for curly coats.

Curly and dense coats hold moisture much longer and must be fully dried and fluffed to ensure a comfortable experience for the dog, a clean and even haircut, and healthy skin beneath the coat.

This means extended, hands-on-blow-drying time using controlled airflow and careful technique, rather than faster, hands-off drying methods used for other coat types.

In addition, the body structure of many Poodles and Doodles - including longer legs, heavier coats, and larger surface area - simply take more time to wash, brush, and do a full haircut on.

Rather than increasing prices broadly by size alone, this structure allows us to price based on the actual time, technique and care required; while ensuring that our groomers can work patiently and attentively.

Our Promise to You

As always, our pricing reflects our commitment to all-inclusive care.

We dont believe in add-ons, extras, or upsells. When your dog comes to Loved Up Pup, they receive everything they need for a complete, thoughtful grooming experience, every time.

That means we never charge extra for:

~ Nail trimming (&/or dremeling)

~ Teeth brushing

~ Gland expression

~ Finishing sprays

~ Or premium shampoos and conditioners selected for your dogs skin and coat

Most salons itemize these services separately. We choose not to. Our goal has always been to make loving, high quality care simple and transparent. Everything your dog needs is included - including patience and love.
